It started with a Canon and a trip to Boston.
I got my first camera in 2021, a Canon EOS M50. I was 13. I took it on a trip to Boston and shot some of my first photos ever.

I'm Kai, a photographer and videographer from Los Angeles, and the founder of Archv Media Agency.
Story
The name
Archv comes from me.
I started posting my personal photography on Instagram as a series called “archv”. It comes from “archive”, I just thought it looked cooler. I knew that would be the name the second I wrote it.
The first client
It started with pictures and soon turned into full videos.
My first shoots were with Coeo Events. They wanted to ramp up their social media presence, and I already had a vision for it.
Why an agency
I wanted to build something bigger than me or my name.
Freelancing wasn't going to cut it. I knew I wanted to scale this beyond myself and build something people respect and know for having an amazing, creative reputation.
Method

I don't do stale photography that just does the job. I capture the essence and emotion of anything I see. It's not traditional, but I'm not looking for traditional people to work with.
After working with me, I hope business owners see their business the way I do, and see their life's work captured the way it deserves to be.
LA
LA makes me believe in myself, because it believes in other people too.
Living here has shaped my creative mind and my life. I'm surrounded by artists, each with their own taste, none better than the other. It's a major part of who I am, and it helped me believe I could build a business like this.
From the archv
These days I mostly just want to document the moment. Nothing special. Time passes us by constantly, and I like to collect some of it before it leaves.
When I look back at my life, I'd like to have something to show my grandkids. A legacy.
